The year was 2005. The early heady days of online travel. Things were just beginning to get hot. WiT came into being that year.

At the same time, a group of Australians decided to start a travel meta search business in Singapore, to cover South-east Asia. They called it Bezurk, a berserk idea, to say the least. But then, great things start with interesting stories like these.

Figuring out Bezurk was too erudite a name for a market that was still struggling to understand the difference between SEM and SEO, they changed it to Wego and well, the rest is history.

Twenty years on, it’s grown to become one of the most consequential players in online travel in the Middle East, from a growing base in South-east Asia. Co-founder Ross Veitch remains at the helm, driving strategy and product, and he’s also kept a watchful eye on the evolution of online travel in Asia as well as other regions as an angel investor and active mentor and coach to startups.

Let’s just say, Ross has lots of interesting stories to tell and in this session with Yeoh Siew Hoon, founder of WiT, we will be sharing some of these stories, as well as some untold stories as of yet.
